Fables wants to contribute to a better society. We envisage and strive for a world that enables children and young adults to:
- develop their skills
- reach out to the unknown
- respect other cultures
- feel secure enough to look positively to the future
- find new solutions to existing problems
Fables is managed as an endowment. The capital of the foundation may increase due to returns from investments, legacies and donations. The Fables board does not actively raise funds. However, any donations are welcomed.
The growth in capital is used to support organisations and projects that fit the objective of the foundation. The board meets bi-annually to distribute the available funds. The majority of the donations go to charitable projects in Israel. For children, youngsters and young adults.
In 2016 Fables donated over €40.000,- of its revenues from investments and donations to projects and organisations in Israel and the Netherlands. Projects supported include Save a Child’s Heart, Beit Hashanti, Eliya Foundation, Ronald McDonald, Kunst en Israel and others.
